Providing reliable tech support and solutions to drive Pethealth's progress ✨

As a Technical Support Specialist Intern within Pethealth's IT team for 2 years, I gained a deep understanding of the backend operations of a tech company. My role was to manage the Maintenance and CIT queue, solve tickets and produce documentation, but I continued to take on various initiatives to learn more.
What I LEARNED

1. Take charge of your opportunities

When I joined Pethealth, I was midway through my degree, and it was my very first job experience. Initially, I approached my role with the mindset of simply completing assigned tasks and waiting for further instructions, as I was accustomed to in a school environment.

However, I soon realized that I wasn't learning as much as I could and that there was more I could contribute to the team. From automating processes between KACE and Azure DevOps to crafting presentations, I began pursuing initiatives aimed at streamlining operations. A highlight was collaborating with the marketing team, delving into UX/UI design!

2. It's okay not to know everything at first

Many things are learnable! With numerous software and platforms that are constantly evolving, it can feel overwhelming to keep up, especially in the tech world. However, I've come to realize that it's alright not to know everything at once. When tasked with learning Confluence and teaching it to different teams, I initially found it intimidating. Yet, with some deep breaths, a slew of Confluence tutorials, and practice, I confidently presented and answered questions. I continue to apply this mind set to everything I do. I can always learn what I don't know!
